EVENT CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

These Event Conditions of Entry apply to all persons attending Camp for a Cure, including ticket holders, children, guests, vendors, sponsors, artists, volunteers and other authorised attendees.
By entering or remaining at Camp for a Cure, you agree to comply with these conditions, all reasonable directions from Camp for a Cure staff and authorised representatives, and any venue rules or safety requirements in place during the event.
These conditions should be read together with the Ticket Purchase Terms & Conditions applicable to your ticket.
1. ENTRY & WRISTBANDS
A valid Camp for a Cure ticket or other authorised event pass is required for entry.
Attendees may be required to present their ticket or identification at check-in.
Event wristbands must be worn for the duration of the event and must not be removed, transferred or tampered with.
Camp for a Cure reserves the right to refuse entry or require a person to leave where reasonably necessary for safety, security, compliance with these conditions or the proper operation of the event.
2. CHILDREN & SUPERVISION
Children remain the responsibility of their parent, guardian or supervising adult at all times.
Camp for a Cure is a family event; however, the event takes place within a large outdoor camping environment and children must be appropriately supervised.
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring children in their care comply with these Event Conditions.
3. CAMPING
Attendees must camp only within their allocated or designated camping area and follow the directions of event staff when positioning vehicles, caravans, camper trailers, tents and other equipment.
Please camp considerately and maintain sufficient access around your campsite for neighbouring campers and emergency services.
Roadways, emergency access routes, fire equipment and other designated access areas must remain clear at all times.
Attendees are responsible for safely securing their own camping equipment and property and for preparing appropriately for changing weather conditions.
4. RURAL PROPERTY, TERRAIN & WILDLIFE
Camp for a Cure is held on a large rural property. Attendees should expect natural and uneven terrain and conditions that differ from those found at a purpose-built entertainment venue.
The property may contain uneven or sloping ground, holes, rocks, tree roots, long grass, vegetation, loose surfaces, mud, waterways, drainage areas and other natural or rural property hazards. Ground conditions may also change as a result of rain, weather, vehicles and event activity.
Attendees should take appropriate care when moving throughout the property, particularly after dark or in wet conditions. Suitable enclosed footwear is strongly recommended, and attendees should carry a torch or other suitable light when moving around the camping areas at night.
Wildlife is naturally present on the property. This may include snakes, spiders, insects and other native animals. Snakes have previously been sighted on the property.
Attendees must not approach, handle, disturb, capture or attempt to remove snakes or other wildlife.
If you see a snake or potentially dangerous animal, keep a safe distance, supervise children and pets in the area and notify Camp for a Cure staff or venue staff as soon as possible.
Children should be supervised appropriately throughout the property, particularly around long grass, vegetation, waterways, campfires, vehicle areas and after dark.
Dog owners should also be mindful of wildlife and keep dogs under effective control and on a lead as required by these Conditions.
Attendees should remain within designated event, camping and access areas and must not enter areas that have been closed, fenced, signed or identified by event or venue staff as restricted.
Camp for a Cure and the venue will take reasonable steps to identify and manage known hazards; however, attendees acknowledge that an outdoor rural environment contains natural hazards that cannot always be completely removed or controlled.
Any hazard, damaged infrastructure, unsafe ground condition, wildlife concern or other safety issue noticed by an attendee should be reported to event staff as soon as reasonably practicable.
5. VEHICLE MOVEMENT
For the safety of everyone attending Camp for a Cure, vehicle movement within camping and event areas must be kept to an absolute minimum once you have been directed to your campsite.
Vehicle movement is not permitted after dark except where specifically authorised by Camp for a Cure staff or in an emergency.
Vehicles must travel at walking pace or the posted event speed limit and pedestrians always have right of way.
Attendees must follow all traffic directions provided by event staff.
Mobility-related vehicle access is managed separately and is available only where authorised by Camp for a Cure.
6. ACCESSIBILITY
A designated accessible camping area is available for attendees with genuine accessibility requirements. This area is located closer to the event precinct and has access to an accessible toilet.
Attendees requesting accessible camping or vehicle access may be asked to provide or display an appropriate recognised disability parking or accessibility permit where applicable.
Accessibility arrangements are intended for people with genuine mobility or accessibility requirements and must not be used simply to obtain preferential camping locations or vehicle access.
Companion Cards are accepted in accordance with Camp for a Cure's ticketing arrangements.
If you require assistance or have accessibility requirements that we should be aware of, please contact Camp for a Cure before arriving wherever possible.
7. ALCOHOL & GLASS
Camp for a Cure is a BYO event for attendees of legal drinking age.
Responsible consumption of alcohol is expected at all times.
Glass is not permitted within the main event precinct.
Please transfer drinks into cans, plastic containers or other suitable non-glass containers before entering the event area.
Alcohol must not be supplied to minors.
Intoxicated, aggressive or unsafe behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the event.
8. FIRES
Fires are permitted only where allowed by Camp for a Cure, the venue and applicable fire restrictions.
All fires must be contained within an above-ground fire pit.
Ground fires are not permitted.
Fire pits must be positioned safely away from caravans, tents, vehicles, vegetation and other combustible materials and must be supervised by a responsible adult whenever alight.
Attendees must have suitable means available to extinguish their fire.
Fire restrictions, total fire bans or weather conditions may require Camp for a Cure to prohibit fires at any time. Any direction to extinguish a fire must be followed immediately.
9. GENERATORS
Generators may only be operated in a safe and considerate manner.
Generators must be positioned so exhaust fumes do not enter neighbouring campsites, caravans or tents and must not create an unreasonable noise disturbance.
Camp for a Cure may introduce generator operating hours or require a generator to be switched off if its operation creates a safety issue or unreasonable disturbance.
10. DOGS
Dogs are permitted at Camp for a Cure provided they are well behaved and remain under the effective control of their owner.
Dogs must remain on a lead while within the event and camping areas unless Camp for a Cure specifically designates an area where leads are not required.
Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs immediately.
Dogs displaying aggressive, dangerous or persistently disruptive behaviour may be required to leave the event.
Owners are responsible for their animals and any injury, damage or disturbance they cause.
Please remember that Camp for a Cure includes live music, crowds, wildlife and other animals. Owners should consider whether this environment is appropriate for their dog.
11. PROHIBITED ITEMS & ACTIVITIES
The following are not permitted unless specifically authorised by Camp for a Cure:
weapons or dangerous items;
illegal drugs or substances;
fireworks, flares or explosives;
unauthorised drones;
dangerous or antisocial behaviour;
unauthorised commercial trading, selling, fundraising or solicitation;
unauthorised amplified sound or activities that unreasonably interfere with the event or other attendees; and
any item or activity reasonably considered by event management to present a safety risk.
Camp for a Cure may require prohibited or unsafe items to be removed from the event.
12. BEHAVIOUR
Camp for a Cure is intended to be a safe, welcoming and family-friendly event.
Aggressive, threatening, abusive, discriminatory, dangerous or seriously disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated.
Attendees must respect other campers, event staff, volunteers, artists, vendors, venue staff and neighbouring properties.
A person who behaves in a manner that creates a safety risk or significantly impacts the enjoyment or welfare of others may be required to leave the event.
13. EVENT STAFF & SAFETY DIRECTIONS
Attendees must comply with reasonable directions given by Camp for a Cure staff, security personnel, emergency services, traffic controllers, venue representatives and authorised volunteers.
Directions may be issued in response to weather, fire, wildlife, traffic, crowd management, medical incidents, emergencies or other operational and safety requirements.
Conditions at an outdoor event can change quickly. Camp for a Cure may alter camping arrangements, restrict access to particular areas, suspend activities or introduce additional safety requirements where reasonably necessary.
14. FIRST AID & EMERGENCIES
First aid services will be available during the event.
In an emergency, contact event staff, security or first aid immediately and follow all emergency instructions.
Emergency access routes must remain clear at all times.
Where an evacuation or emergency response is required, attendees must follow instructions from event staff and emergency services promptly.
15. WEATHER & EVENT CONDITIONS
Camp for a Cure is an outdoor event and will generally proceed in varying weather conditions.
Attendees should come prepared for rain, heat, cold, wind, mud and other conditions that may reasonably occur at an outdoor camping event.
Programs, activities, artists, schedules, camping arrangements and areas of the venue may be changed where reasonably necessary due to weather, safety, operational requirements or circumstances beyond Camp for a Cure's control.
Any cancellation or refund entitlement is governed by the Camp for a Cure Ticket Purchase Terms & Conditions and applicable Australian Consumer Law.
16. PERSONAL PROPERTY
Attendees are responsible for their own vehicles, caravans, camping equipment and personal belongings.
Please secure valuables appropriately.
To the extent permitted by law, Camp for a Cure is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property except where caused by Camp for a Cure's negligence or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING
Camp for a Cure is photographed and filmed throughout the event.
By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in photographs, video or audio captured in public areas of the event and that this material may be used for event coverage, promotion and future Camp for a Cure communications.
Where practical, attendees with concerns regarding photography or filming should speak with event staff.
Commercial filming, photography or media activity may require prior approval from Camp for a Cure.
18. FUNDRAISING
Camp for a Cure is produced and operated by Camp for a Cure Pty Ltd.
Ticket purchases provide admission to the event and ticket revenue contributes towards the costs of producing and operating Camp for a Cure.
Ticket purchases are not charitable donations.
Fundraising for Love Your Sister is conducted separately through clearly identified fundraising activities, donations, raffles, auctions, games, fundraising purchases and other authorised activities held in connection with the event.
Where a portion of a merchandise purchase or other transaction is being donated or raised for Love Your Sister, this will be identified at the point of sale or promotion.
Unauthorised fundraising at Camp for a Cure is not permitted.
19. LEAVING OR REMOVAL FROM THE EVENT
Camp for a Cure may refuse entry or require an attendee to leave where the attendee:
seriously or repeatedly breaches these conditions;
refuses to follow a reasonable safety or operational direction;
behaves aggressively, dangerously or unlawfully;
creates a significant safety risk to themselves or others; or
significantly interferes with the safe operation or enjoyment of the event.
Where appropriate, attendees may first be given an opportunity to correct their behaviour.
Removal from the event due to an attendee's conduct does not automatically entitle that person to a refund, subject always to rights available under Australian Consumer Law.
20. CHANGES TO THESE CONDITIONS
Camp for a Cure may update these Event Conditions where reasonably necessary for safety, legal, venue or operational requirements.
The current version will be made available through the Camp for a Cure website.
Material changes affecting attendees will be communicated where reasonably practicable.
21. RESPECT THE GOOTCH
Gootchie Creek Escape is our host venue and we ask everyone attending Camp for a Cure to help us look after it.
Please dispose of rubbish appropriately, respect the property, facilities, wildlife and neighbouring campers, and leave your campsite clean when departing.
Most importantly, look after one another, have a brilliant weekend and help us make Camp for a Cure an event our community can continue to be proud of.
